Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have announced that seven musicians have been added to the group’s roster for their forthcoming world tour. The expanded lineup for this tour features singers Cindy Mizelle and Curtis King, trombonist Clark Gayton and trumpeter Curt Ramm, all of whom have toured with Springsteen in the past, along with newcomer Barry Danielian on trumpet. E Street stalwart Eddie Manion and first-time tour member Jake Clemons (nephew of late E Street Band saxophonist Clarence Clemons)  will share the saxophone role…

Suge Knight was arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada, Wednesday (February 8) after he was stopped while driving a black Bentley. Knight was charged with making an unsafe lane change and possession of less than one ounce of a controlled substance. He is due in Las Vegas Municipal Court March 12. Gorrilaz, James Murphy, and Andre 3000 have teamed up with Converse for an original song, “DoYaThing,” which will be released February 23. The release will come in conjunction with the release of a new Gorillaz-inspired footwear collection. The track will be available for free download on Converse’s Web site. Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward has quit the band, and will no longer perform on the band’s forthcoming album or tour. Ward said in a statement on his Web site that “At this time, I would love nothing more than to be able to proceed with the Black Sabbath album and tour. However, I am unable to continue unless a ‘signable’ contract is drawn up; a contract that reflects some dignity and respect toward me as an original member of the band. Last year, I worked diligently in good faith with Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne, and Geezer Butler. Several days ago, after nearly a year of trying to negotiate, another ‘unsignable’ contract was handed to me. Let me say that although this has put me in some kind of holding pattern, I am packed and ready to leave the US for England. More importantly, I definitely want to play on the album, and I definitely want to tour with Black Sabbath.” There was no word as to who would replace Ward on the album and on tour…

Chris Brown, who was ordered to serve five years probation after beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, will continue to remain under probation after a judge declined to allow that Brown’s term on supervised probation be terminated, despite his good behavior to date.
