Clarence Thomas (born June 23, 1968) is an Associate Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court. He is only the second African American on the high court after Justice Thurgood Marshall.
Americans today are self-indulgent and don't make the sacrifices that their parents and grandparents did, and the nation's leaders don't ask people to act for the higher good, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas said Monday at a Virginia college in a rare public speech. Clarence Thomas is right. Americans are too self-indulgent and do need to sacrifice more. Unless it is the huge tax cuts for the super wealthy. Or the big bonuses for Wall Street fat cats. Or Republican Senators who... Read Full Story
He appears to be misunderstood by many. In my opinion, Clarence Thomas needs to be given more credit then he gets. He may be stubborn, private, very independent thinker, but I believe he understands and interprets the US Constitution as it was meant to be. His book, My Grandfather's Son, is truly an inspiring story and gives an excellent insight about the man, his beliefs, how he views the Constitution as he does, racism, affirmative action and much more. I hope you will take the time to... Read Full Story
If there’s one thing liberals love it’s identity politics. They play it at every opportunity and they play it well.

In written discussion on yesterday’s ruling cracking down on indecent language on television, Justice Clarence Thomas called the policy “problematic” and a “deep intrusion into the First Amendment rights of broadcasters... Read Full Story
This may simply be an exercise in reading tea leaves, but I was caught by some comments Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas made recently. He is quoted in the New York Times as saying that he is “rounding the last turn for [his] 18th term on the Court”, what he called “this endeavor…or, for some, an ordeal.” He added: “that’s one thing about this job. You get a little tired. ”
Justice Thomas may have been joking when he suggested serving on the Court could be “an ordeal”, but that... Read Full Story
Americans today are self-indulgent and don’t make the sacrifices that their parents and grandparents did, and the nation’s leaders don’t ask people to act for the higher good, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas said Monday at a Virginia college in a rare public speech.
“Our country and our principles are more important than our individual wants,” Thomas told close to 400 people who greeted him with a standing ovation at Washington and Lee University, a Shenandoah Valley liberal... Read Full Story
