has Americans concerned with the close ties of Supreme Court Judges and wealthy conservative billionaires, attendance conservative strategy meetings and visiting the personal homes of the billionaire Koch Brothers.
Chris Mathews discusses the Supreme Court judge who attending a four day supposedly a drop by and say hello innocent meeting with the Koch Brothers. The Federal Society picked up Clarence Thomas tab for the four day conference and Thomas does not deny he was in attendance.
Common Causes is pushing for an investigation, and Vice President Arin Pearson states:
“The Koch Industries own statements Clarence Thomas was featured at a strategy session on political strategy and fund raiser even though it was a closed door session sponsored by Koch Industry.
Even Chris Mathews did not know that the Federalist Society was a front, or pass through to get him to go to a Koch Industry event to make it appear innocent.
Mathews says: Oh, I didn’t know he
As much as Chris Mathews demands an answer on whether Clarence Thomas “did he get anything, did he take anything, did he get any favors any benefits at all that might have influenced his decision in regard to Citizens United” Americans are demanding Thomas to be impeached due to his history with political activist groups.
In the video, Arin Pearson has to repeat over and over against despite Chris Mathews interruptions:
Arin replies:
“His wife has a financial interest that we’ve raised in this matter and there is an appearance of conflict, in order to recuse a judge you don’t need a judge to receive a financial benefit”.
Justice Thomas has refused to recuse himself on many corporation cases, political finance and cases involving his benefactors.
Mathews apparently did not know that Clarence Thomas attended a Koch Brothers closed door political strategy session:
Chris Mathews: Oh, I see -Oh he went to that as well as -the Federalist Society –in other words this was a pass through to get him to go to a Koch Brothers event.”
Pearson replies: ” Well that’s what it appears to be, we raised this question because Koch Industries put out a letter touting the fact that their past events had featured Justice Thomas and Scalia. When we raised those questions the court put out a statement saying no, they spoke at a Federalist Society Dinner sponsored by the Koch’s and Justice Thomas just dropped by”.
Common Causes delved into this meeting further and found that Thomas just did not “drop by” his four days of accommodation, trip, meals and gratuities paid for in Palm Springs to attend for four days in advance. This is not just an innocent drop by meet and greet, it was a planned trip to have him attend the Koch Brothers event.
In this same interview Bradley Smith a Former FEC Commissioner indicated Justice Thomas has been on the Supreme Court for over 20 years. Smith says:
“He’s voted to strike down as unconstitutional every single campaign finance case that has come before him in that time. Nobody seriously thinks that his decision on Citizens United has anything to do with him you know having spoken to to a group of people who each talk about political issues”.
In this case yes it does matter. Thomas’ four day trip was paid for by the Federalist Society, he attended a political closed door (no cameras) fund raiser strategy session with the billionaire Koch Brothers, he stayed for four days when the meeting was only one day. Further, Thomas then ruled in favor of corporations have the rights of human beings for the first time in history a Supreme Court has granted rights to a corporation to donate as much as possible to political campaigns.
That is the key ingredient in the corruption of Clarence Thomas and coupled with the fact that his own wife derives financial benefits from the Tea Party, Chris Mathews obviously just doesn’t get it.
The story continues to ask questions and demand answers from regulators on why Thomas is allowed to have close connections with the Koch Brothers and why he voted in favor of allowing no restrictions on corporation financial donations to influence politicians and judges.

It is no surprise that the contemptuous Supreme Court judges did not attend President Obama’s last State of the Union address and were a no show. During the previous address, Obama has sharp words of condemnation of what the Supreme Court did by allowing unlimited campaign financing by wealthy benefactors in the Republican Party.
