Classic Bobs Revisited: Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis

The bob first gained popularity during the age of the flapper, when women of the 1920s took scissors to their long, elaborate hairstyles in celebration of the bold new woman.  Film stars like Clara Bow and Jean Harlow embraced the bob, as did eternal fashion icon Coco Chanel.  The style reemerged in the 1960s, when First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy sported a smooth, elegant bob and established a new vogue.

While this super-retro look won't work on everyone, it's certainly stunning.
