Cadillac Ciel Concept Unveiled at Pebble Beach Concours
LUX-Ride — More exciting news has emerged from Cadillac today with the unveiling of the Ciel concept, which is the pure picture of elegance. The grand-touring vehicle couldn’t have been fitted with a more appropriate name – Ciel, the French word meaning ‘sky’ – is an open-air, four-seat convertible which is set to forge new territory in terms of future Cadillac product designs, while still paying tribute to the luxury brand’s grand automotive past. The sophisticated Ciel showcases inspiring classic beauty, combined with a hint of contemporary flair, powered by a twin-turbocharged version of the 3.6-liter Direct Injection V-6 engine — coupled with a hybrid system – using lithium-ion battery technology.
This stunning car clearly evokes the romance and glamour of leisurely making your way down California’s coastline with ease. You can almost picture the wind in your hair, while you’re delightfully nestled in the car’s sumptuous, comfortable interior. Additional premium touches of luxury include the vehicle’s French-style doors, while the Ciel’s lengthy exterior offers a sure salute to Cadillac’s touring cars of yesteryear – showcasing dramatic smooth lines and a striking aesthetic.
Ciel’s exterior is seamlessly adorned in a specially created shade of Cabernet, while its swanky interior cabin leaves nothing to be desired, accented by super-LUX accents such as sleek nickel-plated trim, Italian Olive wood, machined aluminum and high-quality leather – expertly crafted in rich warm hues.
Driver + passengers will comfortably take to the road within the Ciel’s spacious interior while its magnificent body sports a wheelbase of 125 inches, and sits on large wheels which feature brushed nickel plating over milled billet aluminum; the Ciel’s carbon ceramic brake rotors elegantly peek out from behind the 22-inch rims. In line with the luxury car brand’s constant use of modern technology, the car’s headlamps and taillamps feature LED lighting components.
The car’s spacious cabin houses plush seats and a “floating” center console which runs from the instrument panel to the rear of the vehicle’s interior – offering each passenger ample personal space + concealed connectivity portals which are conveniently positioned for the individual use of each person riding in the vehicle.
Equipped with the ultimate luxury amenities fitting for a high-end driving experience, The Ciel’s rear seating area allows passengers to simply pull a leather tab, which reveals a cashmere blanket on command. The blanket stretches across the rear seating area – offering a cozy setting during your luxurious road-trip. For an exquisite VIP-style drive, the wood trim located in the rear center console hosts a small humidor which is stocked with cigars.
