Here’s what Claudio Ranieri had to say in his press conference ahead of tomorrow’s match against Milan at the San Siro stadium:

“Derbies are always special games. The league position doesn’t matter, it’s a massive thing for the fans, the players and public opinion in general. We’re ready for Milan. They won the league last year and they’re back up there now. We respect them but we’re going to try and beat them.”

That was Claudio Ranieri’s opening comment in his press conference on the eve of AC Milan v Inter, the 2011/12 Serie A Week 18 fixture to be played at the Stadio San Siro at 20:45 tomorrow.

The Inter coach added: “All that really counts tomorrow is getting the three points. If we win, we’ll be back in the mix challenging for important targets and Milan will have dropped points; if we lose, we’ll go back to where we were but we’ll still have time to fight and catch up.”

“Our fans can be sure that we’ll battle for every ball. I hope it will be a derby that they can enjoy. We do this job to make the fans happy. May the best team win.”/inter.it/
