Ranieri Says Inter Are Still Favourites To Win League This Season
Claudio Ranieri still believes that Inter are the favourites to win the Serie A title this season despite the clubs poor start to the season that has seen Inter lose 5 games already this season in the league.
Inter are currently 11 points behind league leaders Juventus, but Ranieri insists that the Nerazzurri should not be written off just yet.
“If I had to bet a euro on the Scudetto, I would put it on Inter because they remain my favourites,” he said.
In response, Inter President Massimo Moratti was asked if he would place a one euro bet on his team to now win the Scudetto.
“I don’t know [about that], but if the jackpot were one million then you would come out pretty well betting a euro,” he said. I’m betting on the character of the players, which is something different, and on the pride of these lads. Also on the fact that they still have not stopped thinking positively. The bet is on that.”
With five losses already this season, in order for Inter to win the league I would think that they can afford lose maybe one more games all season. Do you think that Inter can go basically unbeaten for the rest of the season?
