can,t help wishing we had got, both roy and scharner 2 years earlier as just think how much more advanced we would have been now. that would of meant 4 years of the same progression with their experience , but eh we move on with many thanks for time at the club  

99 Bully, Our kid's now been in East Devon for almost 10 years,and the villages around him are still like the English countryside of the 1950's. They have games in the village hall,crown green bowling teams,and cream teas. Whenever I visit,I keep expecting to see Miss Marple talkin' to the village bobby! (It even takes you back to when wolves actually had a good team........:)  

It isn't a choice it is just a preliminary meeting to decide if he should make the initial shortlist. Sad to hear Paul Scharner is leaving at the end of the season, good servant but unfortunately the club from what I understand think the wages could be better spent elsewhere.

I for one would be very pleased if Ranieri was to become our new man; we have a recent record of making surprise appointments - Darren Ferguson was the initial favourite when we appointed Roberto Di Matteo, Houghton likewise when we appointed Hodgson, now it seemed that Houghton was the man (well, if you believe what was said in the tabloids) and us talking to Ranieri at least shows we are casting out net wider than Birmingham. But he faces competition from another Blues' old boy, Claudio Ranieri, who has also been seen by Peace during the last 48 hours. Birmingham's Chris Hughton remains the favourite for the post. He was interviewed 15 months ago when Hodgson beat him to the job.  

As much as I admire the clubs ambition going for such a well known name, and pleased that said names are now even interested in our little club, still believe Hughton is the best fit for us.
