Clay Aiken recently popped by the set of “American Idol” without being invited – or giving any warning. Nonetheless, he expected the red carpet to be rolled out for him – and got the shaft instead. Producers ran him through the backstage really quickly, refusing to let him speak to the contestants. Apparently he was hoping to mentor them, especially Adam Lambert, who was said to be Clay’s favorite. But no one from the show was interested, to say the least. “He was given the nickel tour, allowed limited access to the backstage area and sent packing,” said the insider. “he was upset.” Producers ... ok world, brace yourself. Claymates- my apologies. I’m sure you’ve already taken this story and ran with it like an outta shape asthmatic kid chasing after an ice cream cart – s o i apologize for being a little late in getting the news. I don’t know if any of you remember this dorky young sapling, who was but merely an American idol auditionee once upon a time… but uh, he went on to become ungodly famous and serenade us with various a sentimental tune. he also somehow managed to be turned into somewhat of a sex symbol (see exibit b). And if you ... Read Full Story

My celebrity crushes have gone in this order: Junior High - Keanu Reeves (yeah, weird, I know) High School - Evan Dando (this really dates me - if anyone even knows who he is) ...and that's about it! I was never one of those girls to have a big poster of some celebrity on my wall, although it seemed like most of my friends were seriously obsessed with some "flavor of the month." For example, in junior high, my friends told me that I had to have a crush on one of the "Young Guns," so I picked Kiefer Sutherland, even though I didn't ... Read Full Story

I just learned Clay Aiken is going to be a daddy. SAY IT AIN'T SO! I thought he was gay?! Not that it's any thing wrong with that. If your like me it's taking while to process this, Clay Aiken is going to be a daddy. I just had to say it again. Maybe this is hoax... Here's what I know. Multiple sources like TMZ say the mother is Jaymes Foster, a record producer and Clay's best friend. He lives at her home when he's in L.A. We're told 50-year-old Foster, (She's fifty! Older woman must really put it down!)who produced several Aiken CDs, ... Read Full Story

We reported yesterday that Clay Aiken admitted that he’s gay , but now People.com has the full scoop on how Clay Aiken came out to his family and how he plans to raise his new baby boy. I wasn’t raised that way, and I’m not going to raise a child to do that.” Clay Aiken also addresses ... Read Full Story

[originally performed by Richard Marx] Oceans apart day after day And I slowly go insane I hear your voice on the line But it doesn't stop the pain If I see you next to never How can we say forever Wherever you go Whatever you do I will be right here waiting for you Whatever it takes Or how my heart breaks I will be right here waiting for you I took for granted, all the times That I though would last somehow I hear the laughter, I taste the tears But I can't get near you now Oh, can't you see it baby ... Before Adam Lambert, there was Clay Aiken. Both artists rose to fame on American Idol; both finished second to artists that are unlikely to have more successful careers than these runner-ups; and both are gay. The latter item is utterly irrelevant, but it does give Lambert and Aiken even more in common. That, however, is where the comparisons ends. While the former superstar flaunts his sexuality and is known for flamboyant, controversial...

Clay Aiken turns 31 Monday (Nov. 30) and he's set a precedent for Adam Lambert. Not only is Aiken gay, but finishing as an "American Idol" runner-up did little to hurt his career success. Aiken has had a busy six years since "Idol" ended. He went multi-platinum with "Measure of a Man," came out of the closet, became a dad, appeared as a guest star on "Scrubs" and even had a Broadway run as Sir Robin in "Monty Python's Spamalot."So what's Aiken...

How do the first-week sales of Adam Lambert's "For Your Entertainment" stack up against past "American Idol" runners-up?Very well. The numbers aren't solid yet, but the projection is anywhere from 225,000 to 300,000 copies. That's an excellent first week. Compared to the past runners-up of "Idol," Lambert will most likely wind up second only to Clay Aiken (which is nicely ironic). The list is as follows:1. Clay Aiken, "Measure of a Man," 613...
