USA vs. England World Cup: 1-1 Tie

Robert Green, England's goaltender, let the soft goal sneak in and the game was scoreless in the second half of play.

Though a tie is pretty great for the US team, it had been a rocky start, as English captain Steven Gerrard scored a left-footer in the first five minutes of play. Each team had great scoring chances later in the game, but none were fruitful.
The USA takes on Slovenia next, on Friday.
