So many people say that one of things they wish they had done when they were younger was to learn an instrument. Quite often that instrument is the piano. With schedules that are full and the hectic lives people lead usually we feel there is no time to do something as frivolous as learn the piano. The known and traditional route of piano lessons was and still is to visit a teacher at their home, or nowadays possibly a studio. There you get an expert teaching you and correcting you as needed and you can book as many lessons as you want. Payment is usually per lesson or you may be able to pay in advance for a certain number of lessons. Obviously the more you can book the quicker you will learn and the better you get. The problem with this method for some is that it is usually during normal working hours.
There is also nowadays the option of online classes. More and more people are choosing this method of learning which involves watching videos and so on. This is something that can be done completely when you have the time, so late night lessons are possible compared to the traditional method where late night classes are unlikely. Plus its from the comfort of your own home and you learn at whatever pace you want to set yourself.
Lastly you can have a look at the many teach yourself how to play books that you can buy. Make sure you choose one that makes sense to you, but this at the least will give you the basics of the instrument while also teaching you how to read sheet music.
If you have always wanted to learn how to play the piano, make the time for yourself to do it. Everyone deserves to have a hobby or some leisure time to themselves. Get your diary out and find a way to fit in the time for you. When deciding between the 3 options consider how quickly you want to become a certain skill level, what your budget is, and when you can do it.
