Sam Donaldson and Former Football Coach Bill Cowher on Cancer Caregiving – part 1
ABC news veteran and cancer survivor Sam Donaldson introduces a panel of celebrities and clinicians who had to adapt to the unfamiliar role of cancer caregiver at the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) 16th Annual Conference in March 2011. In this clip, former NFL coach Bill Cowher discusses responding to his wife’s diagnosis of lung cancer by feeling the need to “be strong” for the family. In addition, Suzanne Daulerio, daughter of long-time NCCN employee Pat Daulerio, discusses “going into research mode” on hearing that her mother had non-small cell lung cancer with brain metastases.
