Coachella Fest in California is a festival that is organized in the month of April every year in Coachella Valley. It is a popular Music and Arts Festival that attracts thousands of locals and travelers alike. This is one of the most admired festivals in the entire Coachella valley. This festival has a rich history and has been witness to the performance of several musicians and sculptors of repute. The first official Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was held in the year 1999 in the month of October. However, during that period no camping was allowed as the fires and riots at Woodstock 99 were going on. This ban continued till 2002 and finally it again was organized with fun and gaiety from 2003.

The first Coachella Fest of 1999 witnessed the performances of Beck, Rage Against the Machine and Tool, and other eighty-one renowned artists. They played to over 25,000 fans on that particular year. In 2001 Aphex Twin was scheduled to perform but unfortunately it got cancelled. In 2001, the festival was for only one day. A Perfect circle was the very first band that performed at the first Coachella Fest and was a major attraction of the event.  Perry Farrell has also played  at Coachella nine  times and continued to play solo, in 2001 he played as part of Jane’s Addiction and in 2002, 2003 there was a last-minute surprise performance in the Gobi tent as DJ Peretz.

The years 2004, 2005 and 2006 also saw the performance of special guest such as Hybrid. In 2007 Coachella Fest witnessed the performance of Satellite Party and a guest of the nightwatchman, Josh Homme came with five appearances and other popular performances were Queens of the Stone Age, The Desert Sessions. He performed in 2005 (with UNKLE) and in 2006 (with Eagles of Death Metal). The Chemical Bros. and Maynard James Keenan performed with A Perfect Circle, Rage Against the Machine and Tool), 2006 (with Tool). There are 14 artists who have played three times and 54 artists who have played twice in this major event.  The festival is organized in The Empire Polo Field ground every year.
