Coco Rocha has been the latest of models to add ‘designer’ title to her resume as she has designed a statement jewelry collection under collaboration with Senhoa organization intended to help Cambodian women in a struggle with nice-trafficking trade.

Coco Rocha has always been different from other model girls. She has unique looks, strong personality, confidence to express her own opinion and an incredible talent to show her beauty in an unusual way. But if you think you know everything about her you are definitely mistaken. For example, do you know that Rocha can design jewelry? She has unveiled her first, and hope not the last, jewelry collection today in which every piece is more work of art than an ordinary jewelry piece.

Coco Rocha has worked under collaboration with a charitable organization Senhoa, which is based in Cambodia and intended to rescue and rehabilitate young women from the sex-trafficking trade. All the profits from the sale of Rocha’s jewelry collection will go towards the cause.

The pieces in Coco Rocha’s jewelry collection are all elaborate and bold, each a statement maker. And while they look really luxurious the prices are very reasonable starting at $65 for a bracelet, and up to $200. The only piece that is much more expensive is the $995 Rachany choker.

Speaking about how the collaboration was started Coco Rocha said:

Over the course of the next year [I] wore Senhoa jewelry pieces at various red carpet events. As I learned more about the issue of human trafficking and heard the particular stories of these girls that Senhoa assists I knew I wanted to do something more. So we decided that a jewelry collaboration was a great way to lend my voice to the cause.”

Rocha also added that she wanted to make the collection that would reflect her personal aesthetic:

I’m very picky about the jewelry I like to wear so this collection definitely reflects my personal aesthetic. I wanted to create a very fashion forward collection, but still incorporate the wonderful beading work the Senhoa women are known for. I also tried to create pieces that symbolize the Senhoa girl who is being empowered through the program.”

The Canadian model commented on why some of her jewelry pieces cost a lot of money:

I think when people learn about the wonderful cause these pieces support, they won’t feel bad about spending money. Our motto is “accessorize your conscience” and really, no one has a reason to feel guilty for treating themselves to one of these pieces!”
