Coco Sumner 'competitive' with other female singers

Sting's daughter Coco Sumner has said she gets competitive with other British female singers.

The 18-year-old recently did a gig where she played her band I Blame Coco's new single Self Machine.

Coco admitted that it is a tough industry as there are so many other talented female singers.

She said to UK newspaper The Sun: "The female music world is very strong at the moment. Girl power can work one way or another.

"It's good for the industry but, of course, it's competition.

"I don't have a competitive streak - perhaps I should try and work on that. I'm actually really shy and quiet but transform when I play."

She added: "I did a bit of modelling in the past, but that was to earn money. I don't like having my photograph taken and I don't like the limelight. I just love performing."
