HM Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s second longest serving monarch, today marks 60 years on the throne.
Princess Elizabeth was in Kenya on her way to tour Australia when she ascended the throne this day, 6th February 1952, on hearing that that her father King George VI was dead.

Today, 85-year old Queen Elizabeth reaffirmed to “dedicate myself anew to your service”.
