Among the pilots given the greenlight by NBC is Save Me, a comedy series that stars Anne Heche as a woman who has a near-death experience, which leaves her believing she's a prophet. NBC's episode description gives us a better idea of how Heche's character Beth almost dies, and the clips from the pilot show us what she's like afterward.  

Last week, we learned that NBC was considering early launches for a couple of series, likely aiming to make good use on the post-Olympics space on the schedule leading into the fall season. Among the mentioned shows was Save Me, a new comedy starring Anne Heche. While the series was was technically still in the pilot phase at that time, the fact that NBC was already looking for a place to park the show suggested very good odds for the project...

Comedy will be a major component in ratings-challenged NBC's programming strategy for the 2012-13 television season. And prime-time veterans from the Cleveland area will be major players in three of the network's new comedies.

The single-camera comedy from writer and executive producer John Scott Shepherd finds Heche playing Beth, a woman who lets herself go while in a broken marriage. She goes through a transformation in which she becomes the best version of herself and creates miracles.  

They have son Atlas, three, together while she is a also parent to Homer, 10, who she had with ex-husband Coleman Laffoon. Her companion, whom she met on the set of Men In Trees, appeared smartly dressed in a navy blue suit and white shirt with blue-lined collar.  

The comedy is about a woman who has a spiritual transformation after her marriage goes bad. It also features Alex Breckenridge, Heather Burns, Madison Davenport, Michael Landes and Lamman Rucker.  

The show is from Sony Pictures Television, Original Film & Television, with Scott Winant directing and executive producing along with NeAl Moritz and Vivian Cannon.
