This is the second product review conducted at TNB. I'm proud to announce that we also have a video box break for this product! I think we've worked out most of the major kinks that we've had with doing previous box breaks... Please remember to leave some feedback if you have a point of view about this product. I was really excited to bust this as I was not involved in the hobby when it first came out. 2004 Topps Chrome is a new product to me! Without further adieu... I've never in my life completed a single set by hand. I've owned many sets both by personal purchases and those received as gifts, but I've never known the joy and/or frustration of building an entire set from the ground up. I'm proud to announce that this is no longer the case. Today I received another trade package in the mail that gave the last few remaining cards I needed to complete Connor's 1990 Topps set! The most important card of the entire deal, however, is this one... It's a bad scan I know and it's not a 1990 Topps card. It is a ... Read Full Story

I've spent the better part of ALL night creating a website to post the items I'm looking for to complete the handful of sets that I'm working on. The links are live as of tonight but the only information I have posted so far is the checklist for the 2008 Topps Chrome Copper Refractor Set. I'll be working on getting the checklists in place for the other sets as well as a few more that I intend to start working on this year. If you see ways that I can make the site better please don't hesitate to let me know. Read Full Story

Welcome to the first post from the new site! I hope everyone likes the changes that have been made. I couldn't think of any better "first post" at BlogSpot than this. This should have been said at TNB a long time ago. I pride myself on my ability to recognize when someone does something right and more importantly something wrong. In my profession, it's imperative that I'm constantly aware and that I communicate to my employees and my assistants when they do something that requires my feedback. When I was a lowly server at O'Charlies in Ridgeland, MS one of my bosses, Felix, made ... Read Full Story

Baseball Cards are for children, dorks, and especially dorky children. That's the general consensus anywhere that you go outside of the Collecting World. To the average Joe, when we're not sitting around watching a bootleg copy of Starship Troopers' with Chinese subtitles or flying around on our Purple Skeletal Warhorse in World of Warcraft, we're ogling pictures of grown men in tight pants from the comfort of our basement at mom's house. So, to say that being excited over opening packs of baseball cards is dorky is an understatement. At least to those not hanging out with us at our mom's when we do ... Read Full Story

Some of you might remember when I reported on Augmented Reality from Total Immersion. I believe I stated that this blog should stop reporting, because I had found the coolest gadget ever. It would appear that Total Immersion has found another awesome use for their Augmented Reality technology...

I just did a search on ebay for "1983 Topps baseball."  It was pretty cool checking out all the listings.  I'll probably try to add quite a few of these cards to my collection.  I don't know,  there's just something about these cards from the 80's that...

When I was young I spent one summer collecting all of the baseball cards I could get my hands on. Not so much because I really enjoyed watching baseball, but because I found out that baseball cards can be worth big money. Sadly, the year I collected pretty much sucked and now I have all cards...

In my opinion the 1991 Topps Baseball set is one of the nicest and most flawless card designs Topps has put out over the last 30 years. They really outdid themselves this year. Above is one of my favorite cards from the set. After all, you can't beat Carlton "Pudge" Fisk in the process of receiving the ball so that he can block the plate as a relatively small Cecil Fielder comes storming home. I'm not sure who the Tiger is in the...

I would LOVE it...  I hate to sound like an old fogey, but I remember buying cards for 50 cents a pack for the regular packs and like $1.00 or $1.25 for the cello packs.
