The parents of a southern Minnesota teenager who once fled the state to avoid chemotherapy are asking a judge to end the court's role in the case, saying they are following the advice of doctors and making sure their son gets the best medical care. Daniel Hauser, 13, is undergoing radiation treatments for childhood Hodgkin's lymphoma. He finished chemotherapy in early September, and his father said there is no sign of cancer. A courtroom clash between medicine and faith took a criminal turn, with police around the country on the lookout Wednesday for a Minnesota mother who fled with her cancer-stricken 13-year-old son rather than consent to chemotherapy. 13 year Old Daniel Hauser CBS News reports that today Brown County District Judge John Rodenberg issued an arrest warrant Tuesday for the mother of a 13-year-old boy resisting chemotherapy after the pair missed a court hearing on his welfare.” The wife apparently fled with the boy.
