Back when I was a kid in the 1980s, living in Midwest City, OK(north of Norman and suberb of Oklahoma City), this was the game everyone talked about in the neighborhood I lived in. It's amazing what coaching leadership can do to a team. Bo Pellini comes to Nebraska, instills his brand of discipline, and all of a sudden the Cornhuskers are playing in a New Year's Day Bowl. Same goes for the Clemson Tigers who got rid of the younger Bowden during the season. They completed an undefeated season by beating Florida, the #2 team in the country, in convincing fashion in the Fiesta Bowl to win their 2nd straight national championship.
