Its that wonderful time of year when LSU Baseball dominates the world in the NCAA Baseball tournament.  The #3 overall seeded (#2 ranked in polls) Bayou Bengals went 3-0 with combined scores of 23-7 in the three games of Regional Play and advanced to face Rice in the Super Regional this weekend.  Nice.  The Tigers are dominant. Living in Big Ten land, I must also rejoice not only in the success of the Tigers but also their SEC compatriots, Florida, Mississippi, and Arkansas who also advanced to the Super Regionals.  Congrats to the SEC. It wouldn't be fair to those in Big Ten land here though if I only mentioned the SEC and failed ... Read Full Story

There are differences between facts and opinions.  Fact:  LSU is awesome. Opinion: Ohio State is awesome. The first is proven and is true in all circumstances.  The second is what one individual merely "beleives" to be true.  In fact, it is dead wrong.  It is a wrong opinion (Unless you add to the end "Ohio State is awesome losing big games.  Or "Ohio State is awesome at being overrated."  At that point, it actually stops being an opinion and becomes a fact.) Circle City Tickets--not only do we sell college football tickets, we offer lessons in truth. Read Full Story

In a not so shocking decision Friday, the Louisiana State University football team let go of quarterback Ryan Perrilloux . In a statement, head coach Les Miles sad that Perrilloux, "didn't fulfill his obligation as an LSU student-athlete." This isn't exactly a surprise. After more than a few run-ins with the law and school, Perrilloux permanently scarred his career. He required discipline from law officials, the school and the team regularly. After becoming involved in a counterfeiting investigation, and being caught trying to enter a Baton Rouge casino, with a fake ID, he was suspended all of last summer. Aside from this, he was ... Since Les Miles took over many good things have happened at LSU. They won another national championship, they've hauled in great recruiting classes and Miles has has kept the program clean. Or has he? Today LSUreveille.com broke the news that will sadden many LSU fans and should cause them to shake in fear. The Southeastern Conference sticks together. Spend an entire holiday season attending West Coast bowl games, and you'd never hear a Pac-10 pride chant. Yet the most football-crazed, rivalry-driven, animosity-defined conference in all of college athletics shares success with a conciliatory "S-E-C! S-E-C!" Go figure. However, the Mad Hatter and his Bayou Bengals could seriously put that loyalty to the test if they cost the Southeastern...

You wanted it, you got it. Have at it! Is this officially what we call rivals week? Most big rivalries fall this week. I think we may have an open thread on Friday and/or Saturday this week. Check in and see! And since it's Thanksgiving, I think it only appropriate that you dedicate your first post to what you're most thankful for--NOT overall, like Mom's cooking or grandma's love, but solely that in college football that you are thankful...
