Assuming that we’ll have electrified highways by the year 2030, Nissan has popped up an on-grid vehicle dubbed “V2G” (Vehicle–to-Grid) that will offer safe, sustainable as well as brisk commutation. The compliant vehicle is not only safe and swift, but it also features dynamic styling and quality production at a very low price. One can’t ask for more than that. Peugeot have launched in London the BB1 electric car concept that seats four people in a vehicle just 2.5 meters long. The BB1 was originally launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show and is now being promoted as a concept in a number of cities around the World. I asked Peugeot’s Managing Director, Jon Goodman, about the company’s future fuel strategy: “We need to have multiple solutions. The Peugeot BB1, a cross between a scooter and a car, is powered by two electric motors which are mounted in the rear wheels. Nissan Motor Company is coming out with a new electric vehicle. The electric concept, Nuvu, was introduced in Paris last year but Nissan has yet to release a concept that is closer to the production version of their new EV. Nissan reportedly stated that they wanted a bold design for the Nuvu that looks nothing like a hybrid. The goal of the new design would be something that exudes environmentally conscious yet differentiates itself from the average “wedge-shaped silhouette” that is too often seen as a hybrid.
