After denying for days that he was responsible for sending a picture of his bulging underpants via a Tweet to a female student,US Congressman Anthony Weiner has tearfully confessed to that and more. Despite growing calls for his resignation.
EMILY BOURKE:It’s a scandal that’s shocked Washington,derailed the career of a rising New York Democrat and highlighted the dangers of reckless behaviour on social networking websites like Twitter and Facebook.
After denying for days that he was responsible for sending a picture of his bulging underpants via a tweet to a female student,Congressman Anthony Weiner confessed to everything.

ANTHONY WEINER: Thank you very much for being here and good afternoon.
CRAIG MCMURTRIE: Forty-six-year-old Democrat Anthony Weiner is sharp faced and usually sharp tongued.
His wife is a senior aide to Hillary Clinton.Weiner had his sights set on succeeding the high profile Michael Bloomberg as Mayor of New York,Weiner which seemed entirely plausible, until it all came unstuck over a reckless tweet.
ANTHONY WEINER:To be clear the picture was of me and I sent it.I am deeply sorry for the pain this has caused my wife Huma and our family.
CRAIG MCMURTRIE: The tweet,sent from his account,Weiner showed a picture of the lower torso of an aroused man in grey boxer briefs.From the angle it was taken it suggested a self portrait.Weiner It was sent unsolicited to a 21-year-old female student in Seattle.
