Heather Beaven challenges John Mica to a debate
Democrat Heather Beaven has challenged her opponent, nine-term incumbent John Mica, to a televised debate.
“The 7th District shouldn’t have to go searching high and low to get answers or face time from their Congressman. Let’s debate in the district. You pick the time and place and I’ll be there. Period,” read an e-mail sent out by the Beaven campaign.
That potion of e-mail was under the sub-head “Anytime. Anywhere. Any way.”
The e-mail also blasts Mica for not spending time in his own district.
“Voters have countless questions for their Congressman; they deserve face time with their elected officials as well as open debates before they cast their votes. Yet voters here can’t seem to find their Congressman these days. “Where in the district is John Mica?”
