Friday night on MSNBC, David Shuster (who was filling in for Ed Shultz ) discussed some malicious signs at Thursday's Capitol Hill "House call" against health care reform. The conversation, however, quickly turned into a dispute that prompted a Republican guest to walk off the set. Former Colorado congressman Tom Tancredo did not want to criticize Republicans for taking part in the event, stating that there were signs that were just as offensive at anti-Bush rallies over the years. Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo has attracted a lot of publicity in his time, probably most notably for his method of deterring an Islamic nuclear attack. This is a not overly far-fetched possibility. Nuclear devices are all over the place since Pakistan stole plans and members of the the government there did a roaring trade selling them on to international luminaries such as Libya, Iran and North Korea. Anyway, Tom's plan is to pre-set a number of devices in the US to automatically obliterate Mecca and Medina in the event of such an attack. Former U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo has filed a ballot proposal that would require businesses to use a federal program to check the immigration status of all newly hired workers.
