I've said it before. I was afraid to move down here because I knew I wouldn't mix well with the Bible thumpers. I'm not talking about the genuinely pious people who are kind, giving, salt of the earth folk who quietly live their faith. I admire them. Rep. Connie Mack (R-FL) is demanding the resignation of Timothy Geithner, and that everyone stop thinking he's a girl just because of his name. It seems the some people on Capitol Hill are getting a bit bored just blamming captains of industry and financial CEOs for the current economic meltdown. Take Rep. Has strong Union voting record, NAACP, AFL-CIO, ACLU, Teamsters, here. Apparently very liberal, why the 'R'? Smoke him out. Voting for the biggest tax increase in history, without reading ... “Humanity is the keystone that holds nations and men together. When that collapses, the whole structure crumbles. This is as true of baseball teams as any other pursuit in life.” - Connie Mack Cornelius McGillicuddy, Sr. (December 22, 1862 – February 8, 1956), better known as Connie Mack, was an American professional baseball player, manager, and team owner. The longest-serving manager in Major League Baseball history, he holds records for wins (3,731), losses (3,948), and games managed (7,755), with his victory total being almost 1,000 more than any other manager. He managed the Philadelphia Athletics for the club's first 50 seasons of play before ... Read Full Story
