Four years ago, the media shined a much needed light on Republicans who were tied to criminal lobbyist Jack Abramoff. Many of those Republicans were rightly bounced out of office that election year because they had chosen an unethical path and violated the public trust. Today, however, we don't seem to hear about some of the elected officials -- Dodd, Frank, et al -- who should be hog tied to the criminals involved in the failure of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
