Designers have created a supersonic car which they claim will be able to reach speeds of 1,000 mph breaking the current land speed record. The Bloodhound Super Sonic Car will essentially be a rocket with wheels and attached to a Eurofighter-Typhoon jet engine. It will measure 12.8m-long, weight 6.4-tonne and be capable of travelling faster than bullet fired from a handgun. It will accelerate from 0-1,050mph in just 40 seconds. The first attempt at breaking the 1997 record of 763mph will take... Read Full Story

What is the most expensive car in the world? The 1931 Bugatti Royale Kellner Coupe was sold for $8,700,000 in 1987. However, that car and many alike will not be included in this list because it is not available on the market today. It is hard to imagine someone would actually spend 8 million dollars on a car instead of using it for something more productive. However, if you have the money and the opportunity, you will definitely spend a small fraction of it to place a few of these supercars... Read Full Story

Beyond typical GoodCarBadCar.net means of description, we'll have to let the pictures speak for themselves. This is the Audi Calamaro concept, "inspired by the bone of the cuttlefish" - I'm not seeing it - and surprisingly, not by squid, the design was completed by a young Hungarian. Naming processes never go the way I'd like, but surely Audi could've discovered something other than the last name of an Argentinian composer? Absolutely useless, then, this Audi Calamaro. But boys does it look... Read Full Story

There is talk of another attempt to beat the land speed record.
A British team have come up with a car that has the potential to break the current land speed record of 763 miles per hour, held since 1997 by the Thrust SSC (super-sonic car). And by some way.
The Bloodhound SSC:
Their new vehicle will apparently cover the length of a soccer pitch in the blink of an eye - literally. In one sixth of a second it would have travelled the entire distance at 1.4 times the speed of sound, and... Read Full Story
