WTF?! Lost Boys 3 green-lit and Corey Feldman set to return

When the direct-to-DVD sequel THE LOST BOYS 2: THE TRIBE came out last year, I was certain that it would be a stake-through-the-heart for the "franchise." I saw it as an unnecessary sequel to a cult 80's horror film and just another way to cream some money out of the golden age of Hollywood (where everything was original).

Today I've received further proof, in the shape of an announcement that another direct-to-DVD sequel - The Lost Boys 3.

Evan Charnov, writer and producer on the Rachel Leigh Cook series “Fearless” has been drafted in to pen the sequel, which will once again see Corey Feldman reprise his role at Edgar Frog: Vampire Hunter.

Also rumoured to be making a return to the series is Jamison Newlander who played Edgar's brother Alan in the fantastic original. Corey Haim sadly, is not expected to return. To find out why, I'd check out the video below (taken from the set of Lost Boys 2) and hopefully that should explain it:
