Corinne Bailey Rae is an acclaimed Grammy Award-nominated English singer and songwriter who released her debut album Corinne Bailey Rae in February 2006. According to Wikipedia: Rae was named the number one predicted breakthrough act of 2006 in an annual BBC poll of music critics. The poll's predictions subsequently came true, as she became only the fourth female British act in history to have her first album debut at number one.

Corinne Bailey Rae is looking to move on from recent tragedy with the release of her new album " The Sea " on Feb. 2, it was announced Thursday. The British singer, 30, whose husband Jason was found dead in March 2008, has spoken of how she has channeled her grief into some of the new songs. In very sad news, the husband of British Pop Star Corinne Bailey Rae was found dead from a suspected drug overdose. The British Telegraph reported the following: "The body of Jason Rae was discovered in a Leeds flat on Saturday. The 32-year-old musician was a saxophonist with the Haggis Horns. The band describe themselves on their Myspace page as "an eight-piece live funk extravaganza" who combine funk, soul, hip-hop and afrobeat with jazz virtuosity.
