• Alexander Wang will host a talent show in his SoHo store for Fashion’s Night Out. Ex-carnies, feel free to apply as the designer will reward the “freakiest talents” with handbags and pieces from his T collection. If you’re interested, show Mr. Wang what you can do in a 30-90 second clip, you big weirdo! E-mail info@alexanderwang.com to enter! (Elle.com)

• This will definitely be one of my stops on Fashion’s Night Out: Mugler creative director Nicola Formichetti will open a pop-up shop in Tribeca. The temporary retail store will contain Mugler runway pieces, some of Formichetti’s original designs, and a few items we’ve seen on Lady Gaga. Formichetti says his store is catered towards commoners like you and I: “I didn’t want the shop to be something really extreme and pretentious—I wanted the kids to go in and, like, buy T-shirts. I hope people come. Do you think people will come?” Nicola, I will come. Who’s with me? The shop will be open from September 8-21 at 57 Walker Street. (The Cut)

and Eva aren’t the only former top model contestants getting work! Isis King was spotted on the catwalk during Baltimore (yes, Baltimore) fashion week. That flesh-toned wig is one for the crypt. (HuffPost)

• Love
Style.com but can’t afford a fancy tablet with 3G to carry around town like some kind of latte-sipping elitist? Then Halloween will be an exciting day for you, as
Style.com will release their first print magazine! Like the website, the glossy will bring you inside scoops from all the runway shows. The first issue will be a review of the Spring 2012 shows, to be published just weeks after the last show in Paris. Editor-in-Chief
Dirk Standen says
“We want to give our readers a fresh, personal, close-up view from inside the leading fashion capitals of the world. Our aim is to create an immersive new magazine that matches the intensity of the runway shows. This is a magazine for fashion obsessives by fashion obsessives.” Sounds exciting! You can pre-order the magazine at a special price here. Think you’ll pick up a copy come October 31?
