Author, professor, and civil rights activist Cornel West was arrested Sunday outside the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court. West, along with the 18 others who were taken into custody, was protesting against corporate greed and influence as part of October Stop the Machine demonstration, an offshoot of the ongoing Occupy Wall Street sit-in and protest that has spread nationally.
