Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson tied an NFL record for touchdowns of 50 yards or more in a season when he scored his seventh and eighth of the season in a game against the New York Giants on Sunday night. Jackson scored on a 72-yard punt return in the second quarter and caught a 60-yard touchdown pass in the third to tie the mark shared by Elroy Hirsch and Devin Hester.  

Eagles wide receiver Kevin Curtis, out since the second week of the season with a knee injury, could return for Sunday's home game with the San Francisco 49ers. Curtis would replace rookie receiver Jeremy Maclin, who reinjured his left foot in Sunday night's win over the Giants and could be out for two weeks or more.  

It would've been easier for the Philadelphia Eagles to overlook San Francisco before the 49ers beat the defending conference champions convincingly on a national stage. A day after the Eagles (9-4) moved into first place in the NFC East with a 45-38 victory over the New York Giants, the 49ers (6-7) dismantled the Arizona Cardinals 24-9 in a prime-time matchup.  

Both teams coming off huge wins against division foes last weekend. Unfortunately for SF, they have to travel across the country on a short week for a 1pm EST game.Eagles have the better talent virtually across the board so it's hard to see them losing this game. Michael Vick's peers appreciate his tough journey back to the NFL. Vick won the Ed Block Courage Award, voted on by his teammates on the Philadelphia Eagles. The once-disgraced star quarterback returned to the league after spending 18 months in a federal prison for his role in a dogfighting ring. "It means a great deal to me," Vick said Wednesday.  

Lost in the hoopla surrounding the return of Brian Dawkins to Philadelphia is the importance of a game with strong playoff implications. All eyes will be on No. 20 when the Denver Broncos (8-6) visit the NFC East-leading Eagles (10-4) on Sunday. Dawkins spent 13 seasons in Philadelphia, establishing himself as a Hall of Fame-caliber safety and one of the all-time greatest fan favorites in the city.  

Playoff berths are so routine for the Philadelphia Eagles they don't celebrate anymore. Donovan McNabb threw for one touchdown and ran for another, DeSean Jackson had 140 yards receiving and the Eagles beat the San Francisco 49ers 27-13 Sunday to clinch a playoff spot for the eighth time this decade.
