Corrie Lazar -- 21-year-old camp counselor dies after being hit by car

Corrie Lazar, a 21-year-old Washington State resident and Laurel camp counselor, was killed after being hit by a car today in Mt. Vernon.

WCSH6.com reported:

According to Police, Joseph Rouleau of Fayette was driving a black 1995 Isuzu Trooper when he struck two of the three counselors They were walking back to camp Laurel.

Rouleau received non-life threatening injuries and was transported to CMMC in Lewiston. Loyd Olson escaped injury by diving into the woods as the vehicle approached. Mia Jessep received non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Maine General in Augusta. 21-year-old Corrie Lazar was pronounced dead at the scene after attempts to resuscitate were unsuccessful. Corrie Lazar, from Washington State, was a summer counselor for the Camp.
