The Tennessee Titans called police for help searching for Vince Young because his therapist told coach Jeff Fisher the quarterback had mentioned suicide several times before driving away from his home with a gun. The City Paper reported on its Web site Friday afternoon it had obtained a copy of a “matter of record” supplement report on Monday night’s search for Young obtained through a public records request. The report says the Titans’ head of security notified police that he had “a player over at the stadium going off.” A police officer met with Fisher at the stadium, and the coach told the lieutenant ... Filed under: Texans , Titans , AFC South , Fantasy Football , NFL Injuries Titans quarterback Vince Young is sick of talking about his quadriceps injury , but fantasy players, betting folk, and others interested in the Texans-Titans game want to know more about it. So here’s my talking out of my rear semi-educated guess on the subject matter: Factors for Him Starting: Past History. Titans coach Jeff Fisher tends to keep injury information very wishy-washy , and often former-Titan QB Steve McNair would not practice, or minimally practice, and still play the game. It is likely we find out the starter on game ... Read Full Story

Just a couple of days after the “low point” in Titans/Oilers history (according to his owner, no less) head coach Jeff Fisher donned a Peyton Manning jersey at an event because, and I quote (also note the use of quotation marks, which will indicate this is a quote, as well), he “just wanted to feel like a winner.” Hilarious! What an amazing sense of humor! It’s like that 59-ZERO thing never even happened just 48 short hours earlier. This reminds me of that time George Halas was seen sporting a Paul Hornig jersey as he traipsed around downtown Chicago in 1968. Or when George ... Read Full Story

The Houston Texans (0,1) traveled to LP Field in Nashville this Sunday to take on the undefeated Tennessee Titans (2-0). The Texans have not defeated the Titans in the past 6 times the two teams have met. Today marks the first game the Texans have played since Hurricane Ike hit their city last week. The Texans look to provide hope to a struggling city with a win over the Titans this week. Meanwhile, Tennessee looks to continue their undefeated streak and maintain their spot at the top of the AFC South. On the first play of the game, Titans QB Kerry Collins threw an ... Read Full Story

On paper this shouldn't even be a close game, as the Tennessee Titans (5-6) go to Indianapolis to play the Colts (11-0), but with Vince Young back at quarterback don't rule out the Titans.Contributor: Ryan Christopher DeVaultPublished: Dec 06, 2009

Over the last five weeks we have all watched with amazement as the Tennessee Titans, fueled by the re-emergence of Vince Young and the seemingly unstoppable Chris Johnson, have reeled off five straight victories after opening the season 0-6. During that stretch, their competition consisted of two teams that beat them earlier in the season—Jacksonville and Houston—the somewhat inept Buffalo Bills, the surprisingly stout San Fransisco 49ers, and...

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vince Young outdueled Matt Leinart again with yet another spectacular winning drive. Young hit a leaping Kenny Britt for a 10-yard touchdown as time expired, and the Tennessee Titans rallied to beat the Arizona Cardinals 20-17 Sunday for their fifth straight victory. Young won his ninth straight start and improved to 23-11 in his career by driving the Titans 99 yards in the final 2:37. He converted three fourth...

If anything, this is a good problem for the Tennessee Titans to have.   A few months ago, the burning question in Nashville was who the Titans would draft in the wake of what was sure to be a disastrous season.   The incumbent, Kerry Collins, was deemed washed up.  He was essentially a graybeard that had used up all of his luck and opportunities.   And we all know the story of his then-backup, the much-maligned and embattled Vince Young.  Most...
