When you take off in a light airplane, you want to get to the highest speed and highest altitude, as soon as possible !  Cory made the mistake, of many New Pilots, of taking off at a Low Speed, and making Turns, at a Low Altitude !  Taking turns at a low speed, and at a low altitude, will cause any light Airplane to fall out of the Sky !  Cory should have taken off with the Engine gunned, and he should have aimed for a very High Altitude, as soon as possible, instead of going sight seeing... Yankees' Cory Lidle was on the NY crashed plane

A small plane owned by New York Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle aboard crashed into a 50-story condominium tower,  The Belaire Apartments ,  today on Manhattan's Upper East Side, killing at least four people.   A law enforcement official in Washington, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Cory Lidle was on the plane.
