Eric Williams of Seahawks Insider is reporting that the Seahawks have placed veteran offensive lineman Cory Withrow on injured reserve and signed safety Nate Ness. Withrow was not expected to be a factor on the OL this season. Ness is an undrafted free safety out of Arizona. He had a reputation as a sure tackler and team leader for the Wildcats after transferring from junior college. Cory Withrow Mike Wahle Two-time Pro Bowl offensive guard Mike Wahle has been released by the Seattle Seahawks before their first practice of training camp. Wahle was released before the Seahawks took the field Friday afternoon. The team said Wahle failed his physical on Friday morning. The 32-year-old Wahle was signed away from Carolina before the 2008 season. He had surgery in December on the same right shoulder on which he had surgery in 2006. Wahle has played 11 seasons.
