Unable to land a tackle early in last weekend’s draft, the San Diego Chargers signed veteran L.J. Shelton to a two-year deal Tuesday. The San Diego Chargers wrapped up preseason competition with an impressive victory over the San Francisco 49ers 26-7. The Charger quarters, Billy Volek and Charlie Whitehurst completed 18-for-27 passes for 185 yards and a combined 113.3 quarterback rating. Philip Rivers took the night off.
