I mentioned in the 6-week-cure post that Dave and I were headed to Costa Rica for a week in November. We thought of this as a belated honeymoon for us since we never had a wedding and all that. In fact, we got married at a lawyer’s office on an otherwise uneventful Thursday afternoon in February when I was 11 weeks pregnant and on crutches from a sprained ankle. It’s all a blur now. These photos were taken on a trip to Costa Rica, November 2009. We visited La Fortuna, home to Arenal Volcano which is one of the most active volcanoes in the world. We then headed to the Papagayo Gulf located on the northern Pacific side of the country. The sunsets were the best I have seen. This year Halloween fell on a Saturday. Usually a perfect night for Halloween festivities, the volunteers were uncertain as to if and how the usually much anticipated holiday would be celebrated in Costa Rica.
