In a statement, an ABC rep says:
“ We can confirm production on Cougar Town has been temporarily shut down in order for Courteney to deal with a private family matter.”
Hopefully everything is okay with Courtney and her family.

Courteney Cox is returning to ‘Cougar Town’.
The show, which stopped filming briefly last week so star Courteney Cox could attend to a “family matter,” resumes production Nov. 30 following an already-planned weeklong break for Thanksgiving.
The nature of the family issue wasn’t disclosed. According to People, Cox and her family are fine and that she’ll be returning to work following the Thanksgiving hiatus.
