Third in Avery barrel aged series coming

This bit of news got my taste buds watering. Avery Brewing Company of Boulder, Colorado is putting the finishing touches on their third in a series of barrel aged limited edition series beers. Coming in January 2010, Avery will release Black Tot, a barrel aged imperial oatmeal stout.

This hefty brew will weigh in at just over 10% ABV. Only 396 cases of these 12oz bottles will be made and will most likely sold out just like the previous two incarnations - Brabant (No. 1) and Sui Generis (2).

Black Tot was soaked for a while in Rum Barrels to impart what will most likely be one of their best tasting imperial stouts yet.

I'm going to be sure to grab up some of these. Look for a tapping party announcement to come out around the end of the year.
