No, I'm afraid I'm not talking about real money. I'm talking Monopoly money. I'm doing a scrapbook page about game nights I used to have with my family and I'm using Hasbro's Monopoly paper and needed some money. I no longer have an original Monopoly because I've stepped it up in the world. Now I have Star Wars Monopoly, Disney Monopoly and the Collectors edition with cool pieces. Anyway, turns out you can print your own Monopoly money here . I had never needed before but I figured it might... Read Full Story
Okay, I'm still loving Instructables.com. I was looking for home ideas and found this one . I thought I'd share. It's to cover an existing light. I would think this would work well to cover a doorbell too. Obviously, it wouldn't be back lit, but some doorbells are unsightly. The one to the left is a mural made out of CD cases, which is perfect for me because I have a bunch of blank ones and I'm selling all my CD's so I have no need for them anymore. I don't even have words for how great of... Read Full Story

Start your morning routine off in the right mood with this super cool Skull Coffee Mug . It is not a high-tech gadget, but it shall make a good one to go into our skull-shaped gadget collection. Made of solid ceramic, this skull mug is nicely detailed and features a handle that’s made to look like interlocking bones to complete the creepy picture. Let this skull coffee mug be a constant reminder of life's cruelty and mortality. I wish there would be an improved version coming in the future... Read Full Story

I am what you might call a fabric collector. I find it hard to resist buying beautiful fabrics even when I have no actual project in mind for them. It's a sickness I think but at least it's one that leaves me surrounded with piles of pretty textiles. Imagine my joy when I stumbled upon Of Paper & Thread . Not only are the fabrics lovely, they screen-printed by hand onto linen/cotton or hemp/cotton fabrics using environmentally friendly solvent-free inks. That means I can feel a little... Postcards is probably my favorite idea. Check with your post office to make sure but I believe the minimum size is 3 1/2" x 5" and the max is 4 1/4" by 6". You can also cut out squares or flowers or whatever from the cards and make them into gift tags . Do a collage and either frame it or laminate it and use it as place mats and/or coasters . For that matter, just frame a single card if it's particularly pretty or special to you in some way. You can always use the pics and even the poems and... Read Full Story
