Irish rock hero
Van Morrison and Scottish TV personality Craig Ferguson are heading to Minneapolis for concerts. The
Rock Hall of Famer, who had given only four Twin Cities concerts in the first 30 years of his solo career, will make his third local appearance in four years on Dec. 20 at Northrop Auditorium. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at Northrop, 612-624-2345 and www.northrop.umn.edu. Note: That is the same time Bruce Springsteen tickets go on sale at Ticketmaster outlets for his March 16 show at Xcel Energy Center.Ferguson, whose “Late Late Show” is on hiatus because of the writers’ strike, is set to bring his standup act to the State Theatre on Feb. 22. Tickets, priced at $35, will go on sale at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ticketmaster outlets.
In other concert news, country princess Martina McBride will headline a bill on Jan. 26 at Target Center. Lady Antebellum and Jack Ingram will open. Tickets, priced at $49.75, will go on sale Nov. 17 at Target Center and Ticketmaster.
