Oscar-nominated actor Dennis Hopper has been rushed to the hospital for a stomach ailment, canceling a number of interviews and television appearances. A Sources said that the 73 years old actor arrived in an ambulance at the emergency room of a Manhattan hospital. He had developed flu-like symptoms and was seen wearing an oxygen mask with numerous tubes visible. Hopper was in New York to promote the second season of his Starz drama Crash, but has since cancelled planned appearances for this week on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and the Today show. Actor Dennis Hopper has been rushed to a New York hospital after developing flu-like symptoms, according to his publicist Sheila Feren. Hopper, 73, was brought into an unidentified Manhattan hospital by an ambulance Wednesday afternoon, Feren told the Associated Press. According to a report from Entertainment Tonight, he was wearing an oxygen mask and had “numerous tubes visible” at the time of his hospital admission. The legendary Oscar nominee has appeared in such major films as “Easy Rider,” “Hoosiers,” “Speed” and “Apocalypse Now.” He is currently starring on the new STARZ television series “Crash.” In town to publicize “Crash,” he was forced to cancel a number of interviews ...
