Actor Dennis Hopper Rushed to Manhattan Emergency Room

Sources tell ET that Easy Rider star was brought in via ambulance, and was seen wearing an oxygen mask.

(Getty Images)According to Shelia Feren, a publicist for the actor, the 73-year-old Hopper went to hospital after suffering from flu-like symptoms. He was in town promoting the second season of the Starz series Crash, which it set to begin airing this Friday. Hopper was forced to cancel a number of appearances, including time on the Today Show and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
Hopper has been nominated for an Academy Award twice in his career: once for Best Original Screenplay for the 1969 film Easy Rider, and once for Best Supporting Actor for his work in the 1986 film Hoosiers.
