Trivia Bits, January 30

Small-town Idaho: Hailey, Idaho is best known for being the town that Bruce Willis seemed determined to buy up, lock, stock and barrel. He bought up most of Main Street and even had the premiere of "Twelve Monkeys" there. But his passion for the town has cooled considerably in recent years. Stories vary as to why. Hailey, incidentally, has another claim to fame: It is the hometown of poet Ezra Pound and the current home of Swedish tennis star Mats Wilander.

Language unity: We have the Commonwealth, made up of English-speaking former colonies of Britain. And there is the Francophonie, the French-speaking equivalent. Add one more: The Taalunie is made up of Dutch-speaking countries. But it’s a small club: just the Netherlands, the Netherlands’ dependencies, Flanders in Belgium and the South American nation of Suriname.

B) Billy Joel

Previous answer: Will Smith played Muhammad Ali.
