Touchy subject...I know. But folks, it's about RESPONSIBILITY. We're raised to think good credit is crucial to our success as adults, but debt is bad. There is a happy medium -- and hitting a few bumps in your credit rating isn't the end of the road.
This paper presents the first evidence of a specific gene predicting real world economic behavior. Using data from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health, we show that individuals with a polymorphism of the MAOA gene that has lower transcriptional efficiency are significantly more likely to report having credit card debt.
