Two youngsters with disabilities from the nationally renowned “ Cheshire Academy of Integrated Sport and Arts ” based on Macon Way in Crewe were recently given a treat of a lifetime by Crewe and Nantwich MP Edward Timpson when they were invited to visit the Houses of Parliament in London and find out about the workings of Parliament. The MP took two hours out of his busy schedule to show 11-year-old Ryan Moore and 14-year-old Christopher Brown around the historic buildings. Cheshire East Council’s Deputy Leader, Councillor Brian Silvester, is urging Cheshire East residents to vote for Beth Tweddle during the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards 2009 on Sunday. The 24-year-old, who hails from the village of Bunbury in Cheshire East, claimed gold at this year’s World Championships in London after her near perfect floor routine. Beth also won double gold at the World University Games in June. We didn't carry last week's match from the C&N U14s ladies, so it's time to catch up on the team's fortunes. The girls took on Witton Albion on Saturday and repeated the 7-1 score line from the previous week. The first C&N corner of the game was turned in by Ellie Flood from close range for 1-0. That was the catalyst and Almarni Williams netted from a Caitlin Shaw cross to make it 2-0 soon after.
