Open letter to Congressman Ken Calvert and Senator Barbara Boxer

Riverside County Sheriff's DepartmentImage via Wikipedia

Congressman Calvert,

I know you have not been in a position to help in the past, but I must ask again for your intervention. I am writing this both directly to you and publicly on the web. No public agency has been able to break the corruption at the County of Riverside. Therefore, litigation is my only hope, and in that vain, I have retained a highly recognized and accomplished attorney by the name of Steve Scardino, with:

All of my as of yet un-investigated allegations aside; My attorney filed numerous notices under the law of my worker's compensation claim on 10-10-11. The County of Riverside sent me the form that they are required to do under the law, which states that I have a right to temporary disability while a worker's comp case is investigated, delayed, etc.

As a county employee for 20 years, I paid into private insurance, so even through the State of California approved my claim, they cannot pay me. My ERISA rights under COBRA and HIPPA were violated because both my union and the county refused to take responsibility for signing the form need to continue my helath care coverage.

Now I am facing the exact same situation with my attempt to ensure my legal right to temporary diability. Once again, the County of Riverside and The Riverside Sheriff's association are both pointing the finger at each other, and I am going to lose these rights under the law as well.

Please, I beg of you to intervene, because the County of Riverside is even refusing to respond to my attorney's attempt to get me medical care. The County of Riverside is causing me great personal injury.

Sincerey,

Keith Pilat.

CC: Attorney Steve Scardino
       Senator Barbara Boxer
       E.E.O.C.
       California Department of Labor
       Riverside County Grand Jury
