Criminal Minds Stars Promise New Love Interests and a Breakup

Diane from Queens, this one's for you. Literally. We caught up with Criminal Minds stars Paget Brewster, Joe Mantegna and Kirsten Vangsness at a CBS event last week and told them that you (yes, you, Diane) had an insatiable appetite for Criminal Minds news. Happily, Paget, Joe and Kirsten were more than happy to oblige.

Read on for the season five dish straight from the stars, including which castmember is now spending a lot of time nekkid...

Paget Brewster: What's the scoop? Well, we're going to have some murderings. We're going to kick in some doors. And we're in HD now, so you'll be able to see us even better.
Joe Mantegna: If Diane didn't know already, Gavin Rossdale is going to be on the show.
P.B.: He's the lead singer from Bush! Fancy...hot...rock star.
Kirsten Vangsness: Oh, and we get to find out what happens to Hotch (Thomas Gibson)!
E!: He died, right? You killed him, didn't you?
P.B.: We can't answer that.
K.V.: We can't answer that, but he's not here right now, is he?
E!: How is Shemar Moore doing since his accident?
P.B.: Shemar's doing really well! He's got an interesting storyline coming up that I don't think we can talk about, but it's very interesting.
K.V.: You'll see a lot of him.
P.B.: That sounds like he's going to be naked. We should say it that way all the time.
K.V.: I know! That's why I said it like that!
E!: Has he been hobbling around in a cast?
P.B.: He's not in a cast. He had a flexible cast, like a compression sock, and then a lot of his stunts for a couple of episodes were done by his stand-in, Donnell. They shot those scenes from behind. Donnell worked really hard.
E!: So we'll get the same amount of Derek Morgan action we're used to?
P.B.: Yeah, but you'll notice that Shemar will run into a scene and then turn his back to the camera—the real fans, they'll know the difference.
K.V.: And Matthew [Gray Gubler], because he has been on crutches, has guns like you will not believe.
P.B.: He sits in his trailer naked taking pictures of his chest now.
E!: Oooh! Are we going to see that onscreen? Can we put in a request?
P.B.: I don't think Dr. Spencer Reid is going to be topless.
E!: Is there any personal life excitement coming up for any characters on the show?
P.B.: There is a love interest coming up for someone on the show.
K.V.: And there are some breakups, too.
E!: Oh, no! Are we losing Kevin (Nicholas Brendon)?
K.V.: I'm not saying anything...but there is a breakup, and there are hopes of reconciliation. But I'm not saying anything!
E!: Thanks so much, guys!
P.B.: Thank you, and please tell Diane from Queens that we love her and we need her and to please continue being a fan! We do the show for her.
