Cristian Chivu has been banned for four matches punching Bari’s Marco Rossi during last night’s 3-0 league win. The punch was not seem by the officials, but was caught by on video.
Chivu apologised after the game for the incident saying:
“It’s hard to explain: I’m here because I want to say sorry to Marco Rossi, with what little dignity I have left. I want to apologise to everyone, to the people who watched the game and especially to my two daughters, who will see it one day.”
With Chivu suspended, expect Inter‘s new Japan left back Yuto Nagatomo is make his debut against Roma on Sunday.
